This program is for Third graders from panhandle schools. We partner with schools-principals and teachers, Chadron State College HPER and Nutrition class students, panhandle volunteer groups, Scottsbluff YMCA, Alliance Rec Center, 4-H Extension, Box Butte General Hospital, WNCC Nursing school, UNMC Nursing School.
What We Do
We have a fun filled day of non-competitive activities. The stations focus on nutrition and physical activity.
How We Impact
Kids learn about portion control, reading labels, hand washing, caloric intake(energy balance), how to make a healthy snack and how to properly fill their plate(MyPlate). They also get to do fun physical activities to help give them strength and balance

What We Do
We help provide dental services to kids with little or no health insurance.
How We Impact
We help provide preventative care for kids’ teeth. We also help show them proper dental care for their teeth.

What We Do
We promote sun safety to the swimming pool staff. We provide signage, sunscreen and educational materials. We also help fund shade structures. We encourage all pools to adopt a sun safe policy.
How We Impact
Most of the time pool patrons look up to the pool staff so by having them promote sun safety, it reflects onto the pool patrons. It also benefits the pool staff by protecting themselves from the sun.
